Al Ryan is a qualified and experienced marketer who has spent over 16 years working across a broad spectrum of marketing roles. Having initially graduated with an honours law degree, he gained his Postgraduate Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in 2003 and has worked his way through the various marketing disciplines in a number of FTSE 100 organisations, with great success. He has recently joined Elliot Marsh Headhunters to lead the Partner Network utilising his strong background in strategic marketing planning as well as a proven track record in translating these plans in to successful business deliverables.

Phil Sharp

Having initially graduated from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology with a Masters degree, Phil Sharp has spent over 20 years in the recruitment industry. He co-founded Elliot Marsh Ltd in 2000 as a specialist headhunting business, and then co-founded Executive Headhunters Ltd in 2006. He is an expert digital marketer, having built a network of websites and a portfolio of domain names that drive 95% of company turnover. He is a well-recognised industry expert, regularly presenting at Cranfield School of Management and CASS business school, as well as frequent contributions as an industry commentator to print, digital and TV media.



Alison Shirley

Managing Partner

Enjoying over 15 years in the recruitment and headhunting industry, Alison Shirley co-founded Executive Headhunters in 2006 playing a major role in the company’s early and ongoing success. She graduated with an honours degree in Social Sciences and Management and is a Member of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, gaining the Professional Certificate of Management from the Institute of Personnel & Development in 2003. Her 15 years’ experience in the recruitment and headhunting market has enabled her to gain a thorough understanding of a vast range of market sectors as well as successfully delivering new business across all business sizes including the FTSE 100.
